Your Mission:

We are seeking a Senior Python Developer (Software Engineer III) to collaborate closely with stakeholders and a small agile team to analyze network data, develop protocol parsers and detection tradecraft, and integrate those solutions into existing analytic frameworks.

You will excel in this role if you are:

A strong Python developer with an interest in cyber data and network protocols
Skilled at building and integrating tools that identify suspicious or anomalous behavior
Comfortable working directly with customers to understand operational needs
Analytical and curious about how systems communicate, and how to detect unexpected behavior
Capable of transforming prototype workflows into scalable production solutions

A day in the life consists of:

Creating and integrating parsers for network traffic and protocol analysis
Developing custom fingerprints and detection logic to flag anomalies
Working within customer architectures to support data flow and front-end sensor tradecraft
Writing code that populates and enhances network data repositories
Leveraging Jupyter, Git, and other tools to test, iterate, and deploy analytics
Collaborating with cyber analysts to develop effective, operationally relevant solutions

Must haves:

TS/SCI with Polygraph
8+ years of software engineering experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or 4 additional years of SWE experience)
Strong Python skills, with additional experience in C++ and Apache Spark
Hands-on experience with Jupyter Notebooks, JIRA, Confluence, and Git/GitLab
Familiarity with network protocol parsing and data profiling
Understanding of cyber metadata formats

Nice to have:

Familiarity with industrial control system (ICS)/SCADA protocols
Experience developing or deploying network detection and fingerprinting tradecraft
Background in network data enrichment or behavioral alerting
