Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, including 5 years specifically working with gas turbines, is required.
  • A deep understanding of gas turbine systems, components, and original equipment manufacturer maintenance practices, including GE, Siemens, or Mitsubishi systems, is required.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical manuals, job routers, and work instructions is required.
  • Skill in using computerized maintenance management system platforms is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, mentoring, coaching, and communication skills are required.
  • A high level of safety awareness and understanding of emergency response procedures is required.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly shift operational briefs, including shift changes and stand-downs.
  • Lead a team of hourly associates in the safe execution of assigned quality repairs and delivery involving thermal spray coating, high-velocity oxygen fuel coating, plasma processes, and vacuum furnaces.
  • Ensure shift employees perform repairs according to technical specifications, work instructions, and documented processes.
  • Assist employees with problem-solving and quality concerns, and support environmental health and safety, ISO 9001, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration compliance.
  • Ensure timely and accurate labor management and time and attendance reports are completed daily.
  • Escalate and collaborate with the department manager regarding employee issues or concerns.
  • Collaborate with day-shift supervisors and provide detailed status updates on completed work and anticipated work.
  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly process, equipment, and maintenance checklists are completed by shift employees.
  • Adhere to and enforce personal protective equipment initiatives and site safety protocols.
  • Perform other associated departmental duties assigned by management.
