Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of related experience in a higher education setting.

  • The ability to analyze complex issues, develop practical solutions, and lead operational improvements.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Respect for confidential information and working knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
  • Excellent work attendance, reliability, and work ethic.
  • The ability to complete required federal, state, institutional, and departmental training.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the Registrar's Office.
  • Interpret and enforce federal, state, and college policies, rules, and regulations as appropriate.
  • Maintain the integrity of student academic records.
  • Provide customer service to students, families, faculty, staff, external agencies, and other constituents regarding student records.
  • Provide academic advising and related communications to support degree completion, degree persistence, and student success.
  • Process graduation applications, degree audits, degree conferrals, and related data reporting.
  • Collaborate with campus-wide partners to ensure the accuracy and integrity of student-record data associated with commencement, honors, awards, and degree conferral activities.
  • Process student hiatuses and related communications.
  • Analyze study-abroad and international transfer credits in collaboration with administrators and campus offices.
  • Complete National Student Clearinghouse and National Student Loan Data System enrollment reporting, degree verification, and error resolution.
  • Maintain document-management and workflow solutions, including OnBase, Google Forms, and related technologies.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for student-systems vendors and external partners, including the National Student Clearinghouse and Parchment.
  • Manage communications to and from the Registrar's Office, including phone calls, emails, and official correspondence.
  • Maintain student educational records.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve issues and processing errors involving registration and records.
  • Streamline policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Evaluate, implement, and test new software, upgrades, and systems used in the Registrar's Office.
  • Develop training materials and serve as the college's training resource for best practices involving student information systems, supporting software, reporting, and related solutions.
  • Serve on selected college committees.
  • Attend college events as needed, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Attend and actively participate in required meetings and training sessions.
  • Engage in a planned program of professional development and maintain skills and knowledge related to the position and technology trends.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in a Registrar’s Office.
  • Experience with Colleague Datatel, Unity OnBase, Parchment, and Informer.
