Requirements
- Experience with the Policy Administration files of the WINS system
- Experience with AS400 commands
- Strong SQL knowledge for querying the data base
- Microsoft – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Methodology: Waterfall
- Knowledge of how a WC policy is rated, algorithms used for std earned prem calculations
- Understand how the data is mapped from hard copy policies to the wcpols files for regulatory reporting
- Ability to understand data flow, process mapping and data integration, in WINS
- Ability to resolve WCPOLS production issues, identify why the system abends, or identify why crits/fines are received from the WC rating bureaus
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret WINS policy administration data and WCPOLS data mappings for regulatory reporting
- Investigate and troubleshoot WCPOLS production issues and abends; identify root causes for rating bureau corrections or fines
- Work with data flows, process mapping and data integration within the WINS environment to ensure accurate data capture and reporting
- Liaise with stakeholders to understand WC policy rating algorithms and standard earned premiums to support data analysis and reporting
- Support regulatory reporting activities including WC regulatory filings and submittals derived from WINS data
Desired Qualifications
- COBOL knowledge
- Experience with ISeriesAccess for WINS (Wheatley Insurance System) on an AS400 platform, specifically with the Policy Administration Process
- General knowledge of binding, billing, claims, and regulatory reporting within WINS
- Understanding of the different WINS working environments
- Strong Knowledge of Worker’s Compensation Policy Insurance
- Strong Knowledge of Worker’s Compensation Regulatory Reporting as per WCIO
- Strong Knowledge of various Data Collection Organizations Requirements for Regulatory Reporting
- Knowledge of Other WINS’ Products for Policy Binding and Insurance, e.g., Automobile, General Liability
- Knowledge of ISO Regulatory Reporting for various Lines of Business for both policy and claims generated from the WINS system
