Requirements
  • Completed at least one year at a nationally-accredited law school (current 1L or 2L)
  • Solid academic record
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • General understanding of contracts, intellectual property, and other technology-related areas of law
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Willingness to expand and adapt to a variety of job responsibilities, suggest improvements and collaborate with others to generate ideas for improved processes
  • Initiative, interest in learning and willing to perform some routine tasks
  • Minimum 1 year of professional, internship or volunteer experience
  • Passion for Momentive's mission, core values and learning more about its business
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with legal team members to update internal company policies, play books and external customer-facing policies
  • Research legal and regulatory requirements and assist with projects
  • Participate in team and project meetings to gain an understanding of issues affecting our business
  • Learn how we think about legal issues related to technology and see how we apply them in a practical context
  • Identify and improve processes to support the legal team's operations
  • Collaborate with legal and cross functional team members on special projects related to: Corporate, Commercial, Marketing, Product, Privacy, Regulatory/Policy, and Employment
  • Report to Assistant General Counsel and Senior Counsel located in the SF Bay Area
