Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required at minimum.
  • Must possess all skills of lower-rated positions, including Foreman, Journeyman, A4, and E4.
  • Must possess a current state Journeyman's or Master's electrical license and provide its expiration date.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • At least 6 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience is required.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and background screen.
  • Must be able to fulfill physical job requirements, including lifting more than 50 pounds, lifting, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, climbing, and pushing or pulling body weight.
  • OSHA 30 certification is required at minimum, or the candidate must be able to obtain it within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary job-site supervisor with operational responsibility for employees involved in installing, altering, adding to, and repairing electrical systems, conductors, associated materials, and equipment on mid- to large-size ground-up or tenant-finish projects.
  • Be responsible for all field trades on an electrical construction project.
  • Perform working estimates and take-offs jointly with the Project Manager.
  • Lay out work for subordinate supervisors and lead persons, and share responsibility with the Project Manager for ensuring that materials, tools, equipment, information, and appropriate manpower are available in the proper place on time.
  • Establish work schedules and man-loading charts.
  • Interface with General Contractor representatives regarding daily project scheduling and overall performance issues.
  • Provide general supervision to subordinate foremen installing electrical feeders; equipment such as pumps, motors, and generators; control and distribution apparatus such as switchgear, relays, and circuit breaker panels; lighting fixtures and outlets; and related connections and terminations.
  • Monitor work as performed, direct subordinate supervisors and crews, and schedule work according to job pace and coordination with other trades.
  • Perform work being supervised when needed for production or instruction.
  • Handle or oversee required office correspondence and administrative paperwork, including official forms, daily reports, time sheets or tickets, and safety reports.
  • Be responsible for overall project safety performance and ensure employees are properly trained or instructed for their assigned duties.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety processes and protocols.
  • Investigate or assist with investigating and reporting accidents or safety incidents involving job-site employees.
