Requirements
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience and knowledge of electrical construction, design, and cost management as a Superintendent or in a similar position in commercial, institutional, and industrial environments.
  • Have thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, and methods.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Have advanced abilities in reading and interpreting plans and specifications.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of National Fire Protection Association codes.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Be able to present oneself professionally and represent the company image.
  • Demonstrate leadership and project success.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be organized and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be able to utilize ladders, man lifts, or reach booms, stand for long periods, and perform full squats, stooping, or kneeling.
  • Be able to work in varied weather conditions and high-noise jobsite environments.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor the Company’s projects in the field and assist the Foreman with job planning, material ordering, and manpower planning.
  • Schedule and provide labor as needed, review and monitor labor efficiencies, hours, and ratios, and project labor needs for the duration of the project with monthly updates.
  • Track and monitor material costs, storage, consumed materials, and ordered materials to identify potential problems and minimize company costs and overruns.
  • Prepare, review, distribute, and maintain required installation documentation.
  • Ensure Company policies and guidelines are followed.
  • Work with the Inspection Department, inspectors, and utility companies to complete jobs.
  • Monitor and address safety hazards or potential problems with the Foreman and site management.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the General Contractor, Foreman, site management, employers, Project Managers, and customers, and provide technical support as needed.
  • Monitor codes, specifications, and installation methods, and maintain thorough knowledge of the systems and equipment being installed.
  • Attend meetings with the General Superintendent, Company management, contractors, Foreman, and others to keep installations on track and address concerns.
  • Visit job sites to review projects, inspect installation methods, and assess the quality of completed work with Foremen, the General Contractor, and site personnel.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience managing mid- to high-rise buildings and/or high-end hotel projects is a plus.
