Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Physics or relevant subject
  • 2+ years of experience beyond Ph.D.
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out independent research
  • Demonstrated experience in experimental particle, cosmic physics or related field
  • Established ability to lead and conduct experimental measurements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills as demonstrated by presentations at conferences and a strong record of publications in professional journals
  • Ability to travel by automobile and/or commercial air carrier both domestically and internationally
  • Ability and willingness to work in underground experimental areas
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and/or with high voltage, and exposure to cryogens and ionizing radiation
Responsibilities
  • Carry out independent research
  • Lead and conduct experimental measurements
  • Present research findings at conferences
  • Collaborate with other physicists on experiments
  • Comply with environment, safety, and health regulations
