  • Bachelor in Structural Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in an in-design office or EPC for FPSO/FFSO/FPU/MOPU.
  • Experience with performing FEED design, FEED verification, & detail engineering for structural discipline.
  • Experience in loadout, T&I, and offshore hookup.
  • Delivered at least one 30,000 MT mega project in the design stage.
  • Fully trained and knowledgeable with relevant codes & standards, safety, and occupational health & safety standards.
  • Broad technical knowledge of overall engineering functions in basic, detail, and closeout for offshore renewables, FPSO/FPU/MOPU, & offshore platforms.
  • Strong know-how in 2GW projects in European offshore substation projects.
  • Strong background with resolution of technical issues during project planning and EPC execution phases.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and successfully execute tasks in accordance with business objectives.
  • Project management skills.
Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for all external interfaces to the project.
  • Prepare the interface matrix and generate the interface register, internal and external to the client.
  • Develop and maintain interface management plans to identify, track, and resolve interfaces between various project components, disciplines, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors to define interface requirements, specifications, and deliverables.
  • Conduct regular interface meetings and workshops to facilitate communication, alignment, and resolution of interface issues and conflicts.
  • Monitor and track interface deliverables, milestones, and dependencies to ensure timely resolution and mitigate schedule risks.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to gather input, provide updates, and address concerns related to interface management.
  • Review engineering drawings, documents, and specifications to verify compliance with interface requirements and standards.
  • Identify and escalate interface-related risks, challenges, and opportunities to project leadership and stakeholders for timely resolution and decision-making.
  • Coordinate with the project controls team to integrate interface activities into project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Support the development of lessons learned and best practices for interface management, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Overall understanding of the project schedule, project plan, and the importance of timely delivery of project deliverables.
  • Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
  • Liaise with the client’s engineering, operations, and maintenance staff as required to ensure a consistent approach to project completion.
  • Promote safe behaviour at all times and demonstrate 'Safety Leadership.'
  • Co-ordinate with all disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up.
  • Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions as required.
  • Conduct engineering audits, risk assessments, and training as required.
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed to contribute to successful project operations.
  • Support EPC engineering department initiatives.
  • Travel short-term or long-term as per project requirements within or outside UAE and adhere to DDWD travel or relocation policy as applicable.
