Requirements
  • Experience managing multiple engineering teams simultaneously, with accountability for delivery, staffing, performance, and growth, including prioritization and resource decisions across teams.
  • A track record of delivering complex customer-facing products with measurable business results, including explaining leadership tradeoffs, setbacks, and outcomes.
  • Strong engineering depth and current system-design judgment, including reasoning through data models, service boundaries, integrations, and failure modes and providing useful implementation feedback.
  • Technical fluency with applied artificial intelligence, including evaluating large language model approaches, assessing quality and failure modes, and guiding decisions about where artificial intelligence belongs in a product.
  • Regular, hands-on use of artificial intelligence development tools, with experience helping engineers use them effectively while maintaining code quality and technical understanding.
  • Experience managing in-person and distributed engineers and collaborating closely with Product and Design; the role requires clear communication of decisions, early surfacing of disagreements, and direct, useful feedback.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to New York City and work in person at the headquarters.
Responsibilities
  • Own engineering execution across product lines by partnering with Product and Design to turn business priorities into achievable plans, setting commitments, resolving cross-team dependencies, and intervening when scope, staffing, or technical decisions put delivery at risk.
  • Drive changes in engineering leadership and team operations as artificial intelligence changes how engineering work is performed.
  • Shape the product engineering organization by determining team structure, ownership boundaries, staffing needs, and investment tradeoffs among established products, new capabilities, and technical debt.
  • Set technical direction across teams by guiding architecture with technical leads, deciding which capabilities should be shared, and keeping product decisions consistent with broader system needs.
  • Stay involved in consequential design and code reviews, using prototypes, debugging, and direct technical guidance to resolve uncertainty and demonstrate effective approaches.
  • Connect engineering decisions to customer and business outcomes by understanding advisor product usage, challenging work that does not solve the underlying problem, and assessing whether shipped capabilities deliver intended value.
  • Set expectations for testing, security, observability, and reliability; ensure teams own what they ship and address recurring production problems.
  • Build out engineering teams by driving the hiring pipeline and securing strong talent and skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building artificial-intelligence-powered features used by customers in production, including large language model integrations, agentic workflows, or intelligent automations, with understanding of reliability, latency, cost, and failure-mode tradeoffs.
  • Fintech domain knowledge, including financial services, wealth management, regulatory compliance, or financial data integrations.
  • Experience leading in an early-stage, high-ambiguity startup environment.

What believers are saying

  • Savvy reached nearly $6 billion AUM and about 135 advisors by April 2026.
  • By August 2026, Savvy topped $8 billion AUM and added $4 billion in 2026.
  • Inc. ranked Savvy No. 1 fastest-growing financial services firm on August 11, 2026.

What critics are saying

  • Orion, Morningstar, and eMoney already sell advisor software; Savvy's AI edge gets copied fast.
  • Savvy's growth depends on recruiting breakaway RIAs; one pipeline stumble slows assets immediately.
  • A major compliance failure or client-data breach would end Savvy's RIA franchise.

What makes Savvy unique

  • Savvy Intelligence unifies investments, tax, and planning into one household-level system of record.
  • Savvy pairs AI workflows with compliance, marketing, and investment management infrastructure.
  • Savvy aligns advisors with equity upside, attracting breakaway teams seeking ownership.

Savvy Wealth launches AI agent for financial advisors as assets grow 5x to $6B

Savvy Wealth, an AI-native registered investment adviser, has launched Savvy Intelligence, an agentic AI product that provides advisors with a unified, real-time view of client data including investments, financial plans and tax information. The platform eliminates manual reconciliation by serving as a household-level system of record. The company now manages nearly $6 billion in client assets, five times what it managed a year ago, and supports nearly 135 advisors. Savvy Intelligence's first agent, the Financial Planning Agent, enables advisors to model life-change scenarios and run thousands of "what if" scenarios in minutes. Founded by Ritik Malhotra, Savvy estimates advisors spend roughly 70% of their time on non-client-facing work. The platform aims to absorb that burden whilst allowing advisors to participate in the firm's equity upside.
