  • A&P Mechanic License
  • 10 years Maintenance experience with at least 2 in a maintenance control position
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all maintenance and maintenance programing
  • Ensures that company aircrafts are maintained in an airworthy condition
  • Ensures that all aircraft inspections, repairs, and component changes are accomplished in a timely manner and in accordance with manufacturers or FAA approved procedures
  • Ensures compliance with maintenance procedures, airworthiness directives, service, bulletins, service letters, and applicable federal aviation regulations
  • Ensures all maintenance technicians are trained and current on the types of aircraft for which approved.
  • Ensures that all maintenance technicians are certificated and supervised according to the requirements specified in the FARs
  • Coordinates with maintenance contracting agencies when maintenance activities are being performed on company aircraft
  • Provides the VP of Flight Operations with the current airworthiness status of the aircraft and the forecasted down times to facilitate maintenance scheduling and ensure timely correction of aircraft discrepancies
  • Maintains a close liaison with manufacturer’s representatives, parts supply houses, repair facilities and the FAA
  • Makes available to maintenance personnel the necessary overhaul manuals, service bulletins, service letters, airworthiness directives, and any other required technical data
  • Maintains all necessary work records, logbooks and permanent maintenance records
  • Schedules all maintenance actions, to include scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and aircraft modifications
  • Interacts with the appropriate regulatory agencies to maintain the required certifications for all aircraft (e.g. experimental certifications) and own the end-to-end processes for creation and submission
  • Maintains Tool Calibration program
  • Maintains the weight and balance records for all aircraft
