- College degree or minimum 2-3 years of payroll processing multi-state payroll and data entry experience
- Experience with UltiPro Time and Attendance (UTA) HRIS preferred
- Experience with Employee &; Employer Taxes and Quarterly/Annual Returns
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Must be flexible, dependable
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
- Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
- Update and reconcile monthly bank statements for Accounting
- Perform/Process Taxable Wage Audits – pay period, bank reconciliations, union dues, adjustments/amendments
- Timecard edits & calculations based on state OT laws
- Research and respond to associate payroll inquiries in a professional and prompt manner
- Audit payroll exceptions
- Process stop payments and direct deposit reversals
- Backup for other members of payroll team
- Daily Manual Check processing
- Paid Time Off Accrual Plan setups/audits/testing etc.
- Work with Manager & Payroll vendor to improve payroll process and test improvements in test environment
- Other tasks and projects as assigned by management
