Requirements
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree and four years of work experience in communications systems, data center networking design and implementation, cabling or fiber, project management, or information technology infrastructure, including one year of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • A Cisco Certified Network Professional, Cisco Certified Security Professional, Certified Wireless Security Professional, or Certified Wireless Networking Expert certification; candidates without certification must obtain it within twelve months after hire.
  • Deep understanding of network segmentation and networking protocols including EIGRP, IPsec, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, and quality of service.
  • Experience with data center operations and networking.
  • Experience leading Voice over Internet Protocol infrastructure, including call center implementation.
  • Project experience with large-scale networking platforms, applications, automation, and services implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
  • Leadership skills in vision, budgeting, direction, personnel, and project management.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with SolarWinds Orion Network Performance Monitor, NetFlow, Stealthwatch, Citrix NetScaler load balancers, and Cisco Identity Services Engine network access control technologies.
  • Expertise with Open Systems Interconnection layers 1 through 7, firewalls, wireless networking, and Ethernet.
Responsibilities
  • Apply deep technical knowledge and customer needs to introduce solutions using Nexus, Catalyst, integrated services routers, Identity Services Engine and TACACS, wireless networking, Cisco Prime, Firepower, two-factor authentication, and NSX.
  • Manage a team of network engineers and subject-matter experts working with vendors and the network operations team to build, scale, deploy, and support enterprise network infrastructure.
  • Manage Voice over Internet Protocol infrastructure and services.
  • Work with enterprise architecture to ensure alignment with plans.
  • Document and promote designated technical standards and pilot new technology.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of network products.
  • Incorporate industry best practices into standard solutions.
  • Implement standard configuration and change-management processes and practices.
  • Lead the resolution of level-three incidents, problems, changes, and release-management efforts to maintain high customer service levels and service-level agreements.
  • Manage operational costs and conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality and user base.
