Requirements
  • 4+ years of “hands on” experience in IT and network support, working with customers and troubleshooting IT and network related issues
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or equivalent
  • CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge in networking
  • Experience with Windows and VMware
  • Experience with the design of Network Access Points
  • Experience with wireless and computer networking, including set up and configuration of servers
  • Experience managing redundancy, high availability, and SLA's
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, operations, IT, and non-technical team members
  • Ability to follow project plans and adjust to hurdles to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time with overnight stays near a customer sites on occasion. This will depend on the number of installations and deployments per month
  • Ability to speak and write in English, Spanish or German is preferred
  • Experience working with Cisco Meraki equipment is preferred
Responsibilities
  • Configure and install network equipment, appliances, switches such as Cisco Meraki and Dell Servers at customer sites
  • Conduct Wireless site surveys, analysis, and reporting on customer's existing Wi-Fi and Wireless networks
  • Monitor server updates and back up equipment nightly, making sure that the backups are working consistently, while doing upgrades and batches
  • Monitor remote equipment, networking alerts, and servers
  • Schedule onsite visits at customer sites for the installs
  • Create, update, and maintain network security and process documentation
  • Configure new hire equipment and accounts for employees of Locus Robotics who are based in Europe and help with general day-to-day IT tasks that include troubleshooting issues with phones, printers, laptops, email accounts, etc
