Requirements
  • Master degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in a technical role in design, development, verification, product or maintenance support of mechanical or hydraulic components, preferably in an aerospace context.
  • Good knowledge of engineering principles and mechanical design, including product development, certification processes and understanding of engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse problems and strategize for better design solutions.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with manufacturing, production and maintenance processes.
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Good use of Microsoft Office Package.
  • Fluent Italian and good English (written and oral).
  • Driving license.
  • Availability to short travels between Italian sites and abroad.
Responsibilities
  • Act as technical focal point for the customer, all internal stakeholders and Suppliers for the assigned products.
  • Coordinate and support all the engineering activities with other departments, like investigations and cost reduction activities, ensuring compliance with customer specification.
  • Accomplish and manage technical tasks to evaluate product deviations and identify temporary and permanent solutions in support to production and maintenance departments.
  • Analyse product or parts modification request and initiate relevant change process.
  • Support maintenance activities with maintenance log sheet preparation and update, review and support to preparation of maintenance documentations, warranty analysis and product training activities.
  • Provide support and assistance to internal department’s questions/queries relating to the products maintenance, repair and overhaul activities.
  • Report project status data to Engineering Management and Program Management Office in support of periodic project review and program review and attend design review as product leader.
  • Operate in compliance with company and customer quality standards and procedures.
Desired Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of project management techniques, including cost estimation, scheduling and risk management
  • Knowledge of the airworthiness regulations in civil and military aerospace for production and maintenance (EASA and EMAR Part 145)
