The Sales Intern will participate in the day-to-day operations of the Sales Department providing first-level customer assistance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contact our customers by phone and email to initiate and confirm their annual license renewals. Work with Finance to process annual license renewals in a timely manner.
- Solve customer Product Activation issues. Provide feedback and support to the Product Activation Development Team to help to identify and test enhancements.
- Enter demo, trade show and other general leads into the Sales databases. Qualify these leads with follow up communications.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the Sales Teams including administrative queries, clean up and maintenance of contact and customer databases.
- Coordinate tradeshow preparations, order and track tradeshow materials, collect post-tradeshow data, and maintain theSales travel calendar.
- Create and maintain the Sales department pages on internal website.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer the General Sales phone line and route calls to the appropriate Sales staff.
- Perform other duties and carry out additional project assignments and responsibilities as new developments occur, or as needed to support the sales effort.
- Provide other data entry and administrative support, when needed.
- Participate in any and all Sales Support Department responsibilities, as necessary.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
- Current BS or MS student in a sales or business discipline.
- Experience using customer resource management (CRM) software on a computer network, database entry and management, word processing, spreadsheet analysis, and web applications preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Highly organized, accurate, thorough, and able to assume diverse responsibilities with minimal supervision; proactive in handling job responsibilities
- Ability to represent Minitab in a professional, articulate manner, both over the telephone and in written correspondence.
- Ability to perform data entry and word processing. This includes typing, retrieving customer information, and generating reports.
- Ability to work 15-29 hours per week onsite at State College, PA headquarters
- Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language.
