Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in the telecommunications sector or other experience with technology law or policy
  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance
  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Understanding of broadband policy
  • Understanding of Federal spectrum use and policies
  • Knowledge of radiofrequency spectrum technology
  • Experience working with NTIA
  • Knowledge of key government players in the telecommunications/broadband industry
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time
  • Active Top Secret or Top Secret SCI clearance. Must be willing to pursue a clearance if not already cleared. Note that an active clearance may provide the opportunity for you to work on sensitive SpaceX missions. If so, you will be subject to pre-employment drug and random drug and alcohol testing
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Responsibilities
  • Advise SpaceX on issues before NTIA, including national security and spectrum policies
  • Develop and advocate for spectrum policies that will further SpaceX's business objectives and Starlink's success
  • Represent and promote the company positions before the NTIA, the FCC, and other Federal agencies, regulators, legislatures, and regional organizations
  • Contribute to company satellite spectrum policy and outreach activities with government officials at all levels
  • Support outreach activities with the U.S. Congress, U.S. States, and foreign governments
  • Develop and administer regulatory licensing application preparation, pursuit, and compliance requirements for system and service licensing
  • Provide strategic regulatory advice and advocacy support to government business development efforts
  • Contribute to company satellite spectrum policy and outreach activities with US
