Requirements
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • 5+ years of recent experience with Kubernetes infrastructure
  • Experience with Docker containers

  • Proficiency in GitLab functionality, error codes, and scripting

  • Kafka experience is needed for integration of the software into JLVC

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipeline code, review code within Git, and create/maintain DevOps documentation.
  • Provide contributions to Construction Documents or CDRLs including presentation materials, technical reports, software documents, and training materials. Presentation materials include briefings at program and technical meetings, reviews, demonstrations, and other program events.
  • Provide on-site technical support during JLVC exercises and wargames. Technical support includes troubleshooting software related issues during JLVC exercises/wargames. Issues can include, but not limited to, the software Kubernetes cluster, connecting Kafka service, access issues and others that impact JLVC users during an active exercise/wargame.
  • Support the upgrade and deployment of ongoing software releases within the JLVC construct. This includes following a lifecycle process that moves code from Test to Production within the JLVC construct.
  • Conduct security remediation as needed from scans
  • Provide a report after each JLVC related wargame/exercise outlining what went well, what did not go well and participant feedback as given.
  • Attend meetings / engage with the DevSecOps and Development teams as required. This includes attending (virtual) agile standups as requested by the Prime Program Manager.
  • Shall support Prime as directed in providing expertise in supporting a microservices architecture and deployment within a live wargame environment.
  • Shall track issues identified during JLVC events through to resolution and assist the team in prioritizing issues required for upcoming JLVC events
  • Collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to implement automation, enforce best practices, and support integration of new services within the Kubernetes cluster ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

  • Experience in DevSecOps is desired
