One notable area of focus is nanofluidics, which examines fluid behavior at the nanoscale, with potential applications in water purification and energy generation. Unlike many organizations, the Simons Foundation operates solely on philanthropic funding, using endowments and donations to finance its initiatives. Its goal is to push the boundaries of knowledge in science and mathematics, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing among researchers.
