Manifold and Savant Bio partner to accelerate creation of high quality, ai-ready biological datasets.

Manifold and Savant Bio partner to accelerate creation of high quality, ai-ready biological datasets. April 8, 2026 NEWTON, MA and NEW YORK, NY - Wednesday, April 8 - Manifold, the AI platform for life sciences, and Savant Bio, a health data infrastructure company, today announced a technology partnership to enable automated, high-fidelity clinical data abstraction within Manifold's governed platform. The collaboration enables life sciences organizations and health systems to convert unstructured clinical records - including physician notes, pathology reports, and imaging narratives - into structured, analysis-ready datasets directly within Manifold's secure, governed environment. By bringing abstraction, analytics, and multimodal data together in one environment, the partnership aims to accelerate research, evidence generation, and clinical development. Despite advances in interoperability and the growing adoption of real-world data, more than 80% of clinically meaningful information remains locked in unstructured formats - including physician notes, lab reports, imaging narratives, and genomics - leaving the majority of healthcare data underutilized. As a result, R&D teams often spend months assembling and harmonizing datasets before analysis can begin, delaying discovery and limiting real-world evidence generation. Savant's LLM-powered abstraction engine combines advanced language models, domain-specific quality controls, and human-in-the-loop validation to extract clinically meaningful variables such as disease staging, treatment sequencing, biomarker status, and response assessments. These outputs are designed to integrate with Manifold's platform, where they can be analyzed alongside genomic, imaging, claims, and other multimodal data. "Life sciences teams shouldn't have to choose between greater data richness and faster time to insight," said Vinay Seth Mohta, CEO of Manifold. "This partnership is intended to help researchers move from raw clinical records to high-quality multimodal datasets that are legible to AI agents." "High-quality research depends on data that is structured, traceable, and fit for purpose," said Brian Moriarty, Co-Founder of Savant Bio. "By integrating our abstraction capabilities directly into Manifold's research environment, we're ensuring that clinically meaningful information is captured with provenance and delivered in a form ready for analysis." The partnership will initially focus on select datasets and high-priority use cases, with abstraction outputs integrated into Manifold's Trusted Research Environment. Over time, it may expand to support configurable workflows and the creation of standardized, governed data assets reusable across studies, sites, and industry partners. Across the drug development lifecycle, the collaboration will support translational research, clinical development, and health economics and outcomes research by enabling structured phenotypic and clinical annotations, informing trial feasibility and external control arms, and powering comparative effectiveness and market access analyses. By enabling health systems and life sciences organizations to work from shared, governed datasets within a common analytical environment, the partnership aims to strengthen collaboration, improve data utility, and accelerate the translation of real-world data into actionable insights. About Manifold Manifold is the AI platform for life sciences, accelerating life-changing medicines to patients.
