Requirements

  • A Class C operator's driver's license.
  • A current three-year driving record from the current state of residence.
  • A Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident if the employee is not currently a Texas resident.
  • A criminal history background check is required for finalists.
  • Authorization to work in the United States must be verified through the federal I-9 process.
Responsibilities
  • Reconcile and analyze the Athletics Department's headcount and full-time workforce in support of the Athletics CFO.
  • Develop and maintain the workforce planning internal platform.
  • Facilitate comprehensive and transparent management of personnel as it relates to compensation.
  • Manage Workday business processes for the financial allocation and reconciliation of workforce finance.
  • Develop and reconcile merit templates, salary plans, and related financial models.
  • Manage monthly taxable fringe benefits on employee payroll.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models related to the Athletics Department's financials.
  • Assist with internal and external financial reporting as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Establish financial key performance indicators to support decision-making, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
  • Research best practices and alternative solutions for business office applications and procedures.
  • Work with financial leadership to propose, alter, design, and implement solutions that resolve inefficiencies and strengthen internal controls.
  • Serve as an analyst for selected cost centers and centralized operations to ensure budgets are accurately developed, monitored, and maintained.
  • Respond to inquiries on budget entries and corrections.
  • Reconcile financial information for designated systems, accounts, and other financial information.
  • Ensure original entries are accurate and properly reflected on the University's General Ledger.
  • Review and approve financial entries and payments as assigned.
  • Serve in designated primary and secondary roles to ensure compliance with the University's Handbook of Business Procedures, including inventory and cash handling.
  • Assist the Assistant Athletics Directors and Chief Financial Officer with developing, managing, and distributing policies and procedures for internal controls and record keeping.
  • Organize and assign specified financial duties to support effective segregation of duties across the Business Office staff.
  • Manage scheduling for student employees within the Business Office.
  • Conduct training and education to prepare students for roles within college athletics.
  • Support the Athletics Department at home events and contests.
  • Comply with applicable University, NCAA, Conference, state, and federal laws, policies, rules, and regulations.
  • Obtain prior written approval for and report outside activities and outside income.
  • Report known or suspected violations of applicable laws, policies, rules, or regulations.
  • Cooperate fully with investigations by providing complete and accurate information.
  • Report prohibited-conduct incidents as required under applicable Title IX law or University policy.
