Requirements
  • Experience guiding SaaS-based infrastructure strategy and establishing long-term infrastructure technology roadmaps
  • Executive presence: an articulate, senior thinker and good global citizen
  • Intense hyper-focus on customer service and optimizing first for end-users
  • Experience with a global IT infrastructure environment, including China
  • Sharp crisis management skills and a passion for process and security
  • MS in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other similar degrees, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in global IT infrastructure leadership roles
  • Past hands-on experience with network engineering, information security controls, and end-user computing devices
  • Proven technology project management experience
  • Expertise in planning, spending, and building a financial business case for technology projects
  • Experience with security and risk assessment frameworks and controls
  • Executive Business Relationship Management and vendor management skills
  • Executive level verbal and written communication skills
  • Travel within and outside the US is required for this position (10-20%)
Responsibilities
  • Build Veeva's strategic IT infrastructure roadmap and vision for scale, including people, processes, and tools, to support Veeva's aggressive growth (from 6,000 to 10,000 employees by 2025)
  • Provide direct leadership to the regional IT managers and directors around the world in Veeva's Americas, EMEA, AP, and China regions
  • Own Veeva's internal BC/DR approach and plan
  • Drive the high-level strategy for Veeva's network, collab tools (Google Workplace, Zoom, etc), SSO, cloud IaaS servers, VOIP telephony, desktop, IT security, and our and facilities & building technology
  • Foster an environment of intense customer service and success in the IT Global Service Desk and evolve operations from regional into a global collaborative support organization
  • Ensure the production incident management process follows a structured model consistently across all regions
  • Collaborate with the CISO and CIO to ensure the continued compliance of Veeva's IT ecosystem with defined internal ISMS controls, including CIS Top 20
  • Adhere to industry best practices for change management, including building an ITIL-based approach to deployments
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior technical experience with Meraki networking, Okta, AWS, and CIS controls
  • Experience designing and developing Information Security policies
  • MBA
  • ITIL certified
