Engineering Systems Manager

The Engineering Systems Manager, will provide the leadership for the CAD and PLM applications that are used to support multiple product engineering groups; specifically, Autodesk Inventor, Vault and Fusion Manage applications.  This individual will work with the product engineering groups to solidify business requirements, technical and infrastructure requirements, improve processes, track milestones, manage resources and manage issues and risks. It will be essential to establish the PLM architecture vision, with supporting product roadmaps and project plans to drive the company in an efficient and effective manner towards the improved use of advanced engineering tools for designs.  This role will identify, develop and deploy automation solutions to simplify and improve the engineering MCAD/ECAD design process.  Further, this individual will work to integrate product data across various business systems including PROS CRM, Fusion Manage PLM, Acumatica ERP, QMS and MES.    

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) preferred.

Experience: 10+ years of combined experience in Engineering and Engineering IT roles. 5+ years of experience in multiple large-scale implementations of PLM applications, preferably with Autodesk software products. 5+ years of experience in product engineering role.  Preference in configure to order manufacturing structure. 5+ years of experience managing multiple projects or single major projects (involving 10+ combined team members). Extensive experience with Autodesk Vault and Fusion Manage Out-Of-The-Box functionality, configuration, architecture, workflow, BOM, and administration.  Extensive experience with Inventor functionality, configuration, and architecture. Experience in developing infrastructure landscape and applications roadmap, preferably with PLM products.  Proven ability to successfully execute project management methodology's, tools, and skills. Knowledge/experience in the energy and datacenter markets preferred.

Travel: 5-10%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Works a sufficient schedule to meet the expectations of the role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the Engineering Systems department team to maintain the current PLM environment and deploy new PLM technology and solutions.

• Manage routine system changes, enhancements, patches, and upgrades.

• Actively work with engineering leadership to analyze business needs, gather and document business and system requirements.

• Provide technical leadership and direction on assigned projects.

• Establish CAD/PLM technology strategy and direction for the company.

• Support CAD and PLM architecture ensuring alignment with the overall IT Strategy and business objectives.

• Establish a strategy to integrate product data across various business systems including PROS CRM, Fusion Manager PLM, Acumatica ERP, QMS and MES.    

• Establish CAD/PLM standards and best practices.

• Responsible for productivity measurements, establishing benchmarks and identifying sources for improvement.

• Stay current with technology and determining the impact of hardware and/or software upgrades on new and existing applications.

• Performing issue analysis, identifying root causes, outlining resolution options and taking appropriate actions to resolve problems.

• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills; Able to direct multiple groups, peers and team members technically.

• Responsible for the management of the major PLM supplier accounts.

• Travel to attend off-site training sessions as necessary.

• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
