Requirements
  • College or University education (Bachelor’s) preferred

  • B2C Employees who achieve Samsung Essentials for Sales (SES) certification are equipped with Samsung fundamental sales frameworks and terminology. SES certification ensures a “Single Terminology and Single Perspective” across Samsung, and is a must for all sales employees. SES Certification is a requirement of the role which is a combination of the following: Samsung Essentials for Sales (10 courses), 1 Essential course + Knowledge Assessment (Pass Score: 70% or above). Certification period runs from March to October.
  • In addition, sales employees are required to upgrade his/her skills and knowledge annually through SMA. Minimum of 10 hours of learning each year which consists of a minimum of one instructor led SMA course + two online SMA courses.
Responsibilities
  • Direct responsibility of the entire DA Canadian sales team from National sales to Regional sales plus Builder sales as well as expansion of the luxury brand Dacor.
  • Build sales growth for assigned accounts and product lines.
  • Engage customers in order to grow relationship, and achieve revenue, profit and market share targets.
  • Develop and execute tactical plans, manage budgets, forecasts, promotional planning and pricing. Key point of contact for all account activity incl. internal connections with SCM/Mktg./Finance.
  • Develop and grow Samsung Brand and Dacor Brand with all accounts.
  • Collaborate with all accounts on joint business planning, brand management, in-store merchandising and retail sales execution.
  • Manage and implement business trade spend within account programs and management budgets.
  • Analyze high priority account performance quarterly utilizing Samsung KPI’s.
  • Work closely with Samsung marketing to maximize sales with each Sales Manager and their regions for growth.
  • Manage weekly product forecast by model by dealer and ensure inventory forecast matches promotional calendar by account.
  • Make product presentations, both new product introductions and present product offering to customers and prospects as prescribed by the Company sales guidelines.
  • Implement and drive the Samsung Sales Framework (including tools and planning approach) for the DA Division.
  • Participate in the development, implementation and communication of Corporate and Departmental policies, standards and procedures, to ensure consistency across all bases of the business. Compile and report KPIs as required. Assist with the development and management of the departmental annual budget. Liaise with internal customers to understand needs and resolve problems in a timely manner. Handle project related tasks as required and participate in cross-functional team activities, in special circumstances, providing expertise. Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while considering personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers.
  • Work with Executive team to formulate overall strategic direction. Formulate mid-term marketing strategy broke down into the 4 P’s of marketing – Product, Price, Promotion & Place. Participate in key strategic and operational decision making for channels/distribution/customer performance. Build an understanding and cultivate in the departments’ members the product’s vision, the business case, as well as compiling the product planning material necessary for driving product initiatives further with clarity and consensus.
  • Responsible to oversee the creation and implementation of all pricing, channel programs and marketing promotions developing strategies to maximize sales among customers based on geography, channel type, business model and target market, expand market share and pursue aggressive growth targets.
  • Effectively communicates and liaisons with the sales teams and the retail partners to develop and execute product strategies and drive plans for the retail channel that are consistent with our overall distribution strategy and goals. Working with sales leadership and Product Management, establishing a channel distribution strategy that delivers our results as a company.
  • Manage the product portfolios to achieve the strategic plan, meet business objectives and increase the company’s competitive position. Examine the life cycle and functionality of Samsung’s product line-ups to strategically orchestrate penetration points and volume to ensure Sales targets and brand recognition.
  • Manage potential channel conflict among sales channels by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to channel rules of engagement. Manage Product Marketing team and collaborate with the Sales Director/team to execute on the sales & marketing plan.
  • Develop and maintain exceptional partner relationships (both internally and externally) and arrange & attend, as necessary, strategic partner/Customer review meetings.
  • Optimize marketing budget and related spending to maximize ROI. Lead development of activities that best address customer’s needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
  • Builder Business Development – Meet with strategic new customers to gain their trust in the brand and successfully introduce our product portfolio into their projects by developing pricing, marketing & warranty strategies.
