JOB TITLE:
Temporary Lecturer for Spring 2026
JOB PURPOSE:
To teach one Chinese course online during Spring 2026 semester.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured course content in an online asynchronous format.
- Assess student performance through timely and accurate grading of homework, quizzes, and writing assignments.
- Hold three hours of online office hours per week to support student learning, answer questions, and maintain regular communication.
- Provide responsive instructional support while maintaining student confidentiality.
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and engaging online learning environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's degree in a related discipline
Other requirements:
- Master’s degree in Chinese language, literature, applied linguistics.
- Prior professional teaching experience in Chinese language instruction.
- Proficiency in Chinese, excellent communication and organizational skills, strong sense of responsibility, and experience with academic tools.
- Demonstrated experience in online teaching.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated experience in immersion program
- College-level instructional experience preferred
