Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Develop foundational experience in consultative sales, business development, and customer relationship management.
  • Learn Harris’ HVAC and plumbing service capabilities through mentorship, field exposure, and collaboration with experienced sales and service professionals.
  • Identify prospective customers, understand their operational needs, and help develop tailored maintenance solutions.
  • Support existing customers by reviewing agreements, monitoring satisfaction, and identifying opportunities to improve service, reduce costs, and increase energy efficiency.
  • Research target markets, develop leads, participate in customer conversations, and recommend maintenance agreements based on customer equipment, operating costs, and facility needs.
  • Build a pipeline through research, prospecting, referrals, outbound outreach, and relationship development.
  • Assess customer needs, address questions and objections, and communicate the value of Harris’ services.
  • Prepare customer presentations, proposals, cost analyses, and recommended maintenance solutions.
  • Review existing customer agreements, monitor satisfaction, and collaborate with service teams to support retention.
  • Participate in field visits, technician ride-alongs, industry events, and other learning opportunities.
  • Turn customer and building data into recommendations and respond to service needs.

Harris expands into Colorado through multiple strategic acquisitions. June 2, 2026 Harris has expanded its national footprint into Colorado through the acquisition of three companies serving the region's mechanical systems, controls and building automation markets. The move establishes a strong operating base for Harris in Colorado and significantly broadens the company's presence across the Mountain West. The expansion began with the acquisition of Colorado-based temperature controls company D.R. Associates (DRA), effective May 4. Founded in Denver more than 20 years ago, DRA has built a strong reputation for delivering dependable temperature control solutions tailored to the needs of Colorado businesses. The company serves customers across industries including healthcare, manufacturing and commercial facilities. Effective June 1, Harris also acquired Climate Engineering (CEI) and Centennial Controls (CCI). CEI and CCI bring complementary expertise in mechanical systems, HVAC solutions and building automation throughout Colorado. Together, the companies have supported a wide range of commercial and industrial projects across the region, helping customers improve building performance, visibility and operational efficiency through advanced mechanical and controls solutions. Their strong technical capabilities, customer-focused approach and deep local relationships further strengthen Harris' ability to serve customers across Colorado.
