Background
We are looking for an external reporting communications specialist to join our Investor Relations team, ideally in London.
This role will primarily focus on the communications element of external financial reporting, covering integrated reporting including ESG, and investor presentations and communications, supporting the IR Communications Director. There will also be an opportunity to develop skills across the full remit of investor relations.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, communications and sustainability teams, to ensure that all financial and ESG-related information is communicated clearly and accurately to investors, media, and other external stakeholders.
The Investor Relations team at Klarna is dedicated, passionate and cross-functional, consisting of financial analysts and communications experts. This role is perfect for someone with a background in financial reporting communications and a keen interest in ESG, an area of increasing importance for Klarna.
What you will do
- Prepare and edit financial and ESG-related materials, such as annual reports, investor presentations, investor newsletters with the Investor Relations Communications Director.
- Collect financial and non-financial data from across the business to improve our external reporting and drive our narrative
- Respond to investor and analyst inquiries and provide guidance on ESG-related matters.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations and best practices in financial communications and ESG, including gap analyses, implementation and regulatory heat mapping exercises.
- Work cross-functionally to drive clear, aligned narratives around our mission to accelerate commerce and make it easier and safer for people to shop and pay for their purchases
- Be willing to get involved across the entire Investor Relations spectrum.
Who you are
- 5-8 years experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Has experience of communications related to financial reporting, either in-house in a corporate and financial communications or investor relations team or a financial and corporate PR agency. While the role is not media facing, an understanding of the media landscape Klarna operates in is essential
- Experience of working with reporting standards including NFRD, GRI, SASB etc
- Proven success working closely with senior level executives on messaging and strategic projects
- Experience of banking financials would be an asset
- Strong organizational, project management, and analytical skills.
- You are confident to be an independent player while also enjoying being part of a team and able to embrace the varied nature of the job.
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage complex issues in a regulated environment
