Requirements
  • A high school diploma is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Knowledge of equipment and processes related to surface-mount technology, electronic assembly, and final assembly equipment is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the overall functions and operations of a manufacturing environment are required.
  • The ability to operate a personal computer, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and SolidWorks is required.
  • The ability to operate a stencil printer, surface-mount placement equipment, offline loading station and systems, reflow oven equipment, and other required equipment is required.
  • The ability to solder add-on components is required.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, root-cause analysis, and ISO 9001 requirements is required.
  • The ability to lift up to 35 pounds and accurately handle and assemble small parts is required.
  • The ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, rotate, and reach throughout an entire shift is required.
  • The ability to work scheduled shift hours and occasional overtime is required.
  • The ability to travel on a limited basis is required.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate manufacturing-process support activities with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Product Development, and Materials departments.
  • Provide first-responder support for production issues.
  • Assist Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality with root-cause analysis and production support.
  • Develop standard work to support manufacturing and maintenance teams.
  • Support innovation in process and design using advanced assembly and design techniques.
  • Support Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality with continuous-improvement activities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities using process data and key performance indicators.
  • Support Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality with process selection and development for new product launches.
  • Perform line changeovers between production runs.
  • Perform all aspects of setups, including receiving incoming reels in surface-mount technology operations.
  • Carry out assignments that support manufacturing processes and products.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Previous automated optical inspection and solder paste inspection programming experience is preferred.
  • An associate degree is preferred.
