Senior Dialogue Designer

We are looking for a Senior Dialogue Designer to join our award-winning team to craft high quality audio content for 1st and 2nd party product development projects. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to work along side some of the greatest developers in the industry and on some of the most exciting, immersive narrative AAA games for PlayStation.

You are:

A passionate, creative, and experienced dialogue designer with a consistent track record of creating high-quality dialogue for video games, film, or television. You are interested in collaborating with sound design and music to deliver outstanding soundscapes for major AAA projects alongside our partners at studios such as Naughty Dog, Santa Monica Studio, Guerrilla Games, Firesprite, London Studios, Housemarque, Media Molecule, Insomniac Games, Sucker Punch Productions and more!

Responsibilities and requirements:

• Collaborate with some of the best studio talent to ship games with leading dialogue performance and presentation.
• Define tasks and ownership of responsibilities on each project.
• Design workflows and schedules for dialogue through production.
• Plan voice over sessions, ADR sessions and performance capture shoots.
• Lead post-production, implementation, and support localization pipelines.
• Choose the most effective methods of handling assets, tools, and implementation.
• Edit and master in-game and cinematic dialogue to an exceptional standard.
• Define guidelines for peers, contractors, and vendors, to maintain and where possible, raise the quality bar for dialogue recording, editorial and mastering.
• Develop creative ways to solve sophisticated problems.
• Collaborate and innovate to expand PlayStation Studios dialogue toolsets and pipelines.

Qualifications:

• 5 years validated experience
• Minimum of 3 shipped AAA titles or film, television projects in a Lead role.
• Professionally written and verbal communication
• Proven leadership and collaboration skills.
• Maintaining professional respect and courtesy to developers and team members.
• Fluent in all phases of dialogue production and post-production, preferably with interactive audio.
• Experienced with professional audio tools such as (but not limited to) ProTools, SoundForge, Adobe Audition, Reaper, Waves Plugins, iZotope RX, etc.
• Knowledge of signal processing devices such as compressors, limiters, equalizers, etc.
• Proven and demonstrable qualifications in dialogue editorial and mixing for pre-rendered linear cinematics of varying complexity and content styles.
• Familiarity with implementing game dialogue or audio using tools proprietary tools or known ones such as, Wwise, Fmod, Maya, Unreal, Unity, etc.
• Experience with source control software like Perforce.
• Familiarity with task and bug tracking (Jira).
• Mixing in multiple formats such as 5.1, quad, etc.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and database management.
• Relevant accredited education in the field of audio \ sound design \ television \ broadcasting \ game design.
