Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Exposure to or basic understanding of multi-discipline construction concepts is preferred.
  • Familiarity with construction progress measurement and reporting methods is a plus.
  • Understanding of construction industry practices, processes, and standards, or willingness to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk the property and laydown yards, and carry up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Construction Team, Home Office Engineering team, Site Engineering Team, and Field Personnel as needed to complete assigned tasks.
  • Provide weekly construction progress measurements using cloud-based progress management software.
  • Maintain a tracking system that reflects current project budgets and accommodates scope changes.
  • Maintain the project drawing set with current revisions and progress mark-ups.
  • Assist project management staff with work package development as needed.
  • Interface with project control staff to update client and internal project reports and schedule progress.
  • Ensure issued-for-construction quantities are developed and reported to Project Controls.
  • Develop extensive knowledge of project scope and work with project staff to maintain the control budget and track deviations.
  • Work with the estimating team to develop labor estimates as drawings are issued and load them into the project tracking system.
  • Conduct periodic audits of site construction progress.
  • Work for prolonged periods at a desk and on a computer.

  • Interest in learning structural steel installation and tracking.
  • Interest in learning piping systems, including takeoffs, field welds, shop fabrication, and insulation.
  • Interest in learning electrical systems, including cable tray, conduit, wire, terminations, and testing.
  • Interest in learning process control systems, including instrumentation and distributed control systems.
  • Professional, ethical, and motivated to grow within the company.
