Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with CNESST regulations
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the workplace to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on health and safety issues, including training, hazard communication, and emergency response procedures
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures
  • Maintain records of health and safety incidents, inspections, and compliance activities
  • Develop and conduct safety training programs for all employees
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and emergency drills
  • Coordinate with CNESST to ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Conduct job hazard analysis (JHAs) and ergonomic assessments to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
  • Ensure safety equipment and systems are maintained and in good working order
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives
  • Stay informed about emerging safety trends, regulations, and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
