Requirements
  • Preferred designations or licenses:
  • O FIRNA Series 6, or 7, 24, 65 or 66
  • O Experience working as a broker/dealer registered investment advisor
  • O Some form of advanced degree or designations (CPA, JD, CFA, CFP, CLU, and ChFC)
  • Minimum 10-15 years in wealth management with an emphasis on serving High New-Worth clients
  • CFP or CFA designation
  • California life insurance license
  • No securities regulation violations or pending proceedings
  • Understand asset management and protection, investment planning, retirement and estate planning concepts and strategies
  • Familiar with securities and insurance rules and regulations
  • Understand securities and insurance products, features, riders and contract language
  • Proven record in leadership and employee development
  • Proficient with the use of computers and software programs used in finance and business
  • Critical thinking, strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated emotional intelligence and problem solving skills are essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong executive presence and relationship management skills are essential
  • Reliable and self-motivated
  • Strong project management leadership and negotiations skills are paramount
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel to BPM offices as needed

Responsibilities
  • Ability to define the structure, staffing, and execution strategies necessary to support their client's Wealth Management needs
  • Identify investment and insurance platforms that will support BPM's sales, service, administrative compliance and staff education requirements under state CPA ethics requirements
  • Leverage relationships especially that of Valmark Financial Group, to take advantage of state of the industry technologies, product availability and expertise without incurring significant fixed expenses
  • Expand BPM's breadth of services and products which to offer their clients
  • Create workflows in CRM to provide an exceptional client experience
  • Model revenue, expenses and projected profitability, initially considering proof of concept pilots
  • Accountable for quickly making this division a contributor of incremental income for the enterprise
  • Implement and refine the strategic vision and business plan for the service line
  • Interact with other service line leaders serving BPM's diverse clients
  • Build effective relationships with BPM Partners and staff to leverage expertise, service capabilities and technology
  • Assist BPM Partners in identifying opportunities to generate investment and insurance advice sales activities
  • Maintain knowledge of investment products, life insurance products and planning concepts by following trends and research in the industry
  • Project Deliverables include:
  • O A Wealth Management and Life Insurance Capabilities Plan
  • O Service Line Structure, Staffing and Execution Strategies
  • O Income Projections i.e. Pro Forma examples
  • O Implementation Guidance/Consultative Advice (Optional)
Desired Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
