We’re looking for our next Front End Engineer to join the Kharon team...
Joining our relatively small development team, this is the perfect position for someone who is looking to build. While there are elements to our products that will require maintenance, the core of this position is centered around you taking charge of our larger and more strategically complex projects. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will help to not only scale the products but to scale the Engineering team. Serving as a lead and mentor to the growing Engineering team, you’ll pave the way on our most challenging initiatives, from building scalable systems to designing new product features.
Taking ideas from concept to implementation, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that we’re following best software design patterns and building our products in a maintainable and scalable fashion. In other words: We need someone like you to guarantee that we’re building things the right way. Our philosophy at Kharon is that to be successful, one should never stop learning. You have…
- 1-3+ years of experience developing web-based applications
- Experience with a modern front-end framework (Vue, Ember, Angular, React, etc.)
- Experience in writing software tests
- The ability to solve technical problems independently
- Motivation to work hard and always be learning
Your day-to-day will look like…
- Building and shipping product features throughout the complete development lifecycle
- Designing and building intuitive, adaptable, accessible, and highly interactive user interfaces
- Mentoring fellow engineers
- Leading front-end architecture decisions
- Helping ensure code quality and organization
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving software bugs
- Collaborating with other engineers, designers, and product managers
- Participating in an Agile software development lifecycle
- Writing well-designed, maintainable, and testable code
- Being product-minded and thinking about the customer and the user experience
What will make you stand out as an applicant…
- Experience with Vue.js
- Experience with npm/Yarn and modern ES6 or TypeScript
- Experience working on SaaS web applications
- Contribute to open-source projects
- Bonus: Experience with graph databases, Java, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.
- BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
