Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting/Business Administration preferred
  • Preferred work experience in accounting functions (Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Billing, Cash Applications, Collects etc)
  • Good organizational, time management, prioritization skills and can work flexible schedule to meet deadlines and deliverables
  • Working knowledge of various accounting ERP systems, Workday experience considered a strong asset but also SAP, Quickbooks, Xero etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suites and G-Suites products (Intermediate Excel, google sheets Word, google docs Outlook, Teams, gmail, google chat)
  • Good analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service, communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills, effectively connecting with colleagues and other teams
Responsibilities
  • Working with Billing information to create invoices
  • Create Credit Notes and their correcting invoice
  • Submit invoices to client portals for payment and setup portal profiles
  • Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations and perform root cause investigations
  • Prepare information relevant to invoice creation and submit information in the correct format to an invoice creator
  • Documentation of processes and instructions
  • Complete all necessary billing tasks as required
  • Participate in any projects as required
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure invoice accuracy and timely delivery
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Multilingualism considered a strong asset (English plus a language relevant to the business French, Spanish, Dutch, German, Korean)

TELUS Launches $1.6 Billion Junior Subordinated Note Offering

TELUS has announced the pricing of $1.6 billion in fixed-to-fixed rate junior subordinated notes through a syndicate of agents. These notes, issued in two series with a 30.25-year maturity, are intended to help the company repay outstanding debts and support general corporate purposes. The Series CAR notes have an initial yield of 6.25% and the Series CAS notes have an initial yield of 6.75%, with both series having mechanisms to reset interest rates every five years. The issuance of these notes is expected to enhance TELUS’s financial flexibility and strengthen its market position.
