Requirements
- You hold one of the following licenses: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW/LSW), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Psychologist (PH.D or PsyD), or Certified Oncology Social Worker (OSW-C).
- Dedicated to providing evidenced-based care and have a demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team setting.
- Prior experience interacting with physicians and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Have a passion for delivering quality behavioral health care.
- Ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy.
- Ability and willingness to be on-site once or twice per week (estimate) at our partner practice in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Responsibilities
- Develop a trusted, effective working relationship with the partner oncology practice team.
- Work on-site and virtually within a partner oncology group to support patients, clinicians, and practice staff with the identification and intake of patients needing behavioral health support.
- Support the mental health of cancer patients on an assigned patient caseload.
- Provide brief behavioral interventions tailored for the cancer setting.
- Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders.
- Facilitate patient engagement and follow-up care.
- Provide patient education about common mental health and substance abuse disorders and the available treatment options.
- Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications.
- Support psychotropic medication management as prescribed by medical providers, focusing on treatment adherence monitoring, side effects, and effectiveness of treatment.
