Harmonia Holdings Group, LLC, an award-winning federal government contractor, has an exciting opportunity for a WebLogic Middleware Administrator to join our team.
*This position is expected to remain remote long-term due to COVID, but some onsite meetings may be requested occasionally.
Job Summary: Harmonia is seeking a talented WebLogic Administrator with DevSecOps expertise to support various applications using modern technologies. The ideal candidate will manage cloud infrastructure and ensure the seamless operation of production applications. This role requires hands-on experience with WebLogic administration, cloud services, and DevSecOps practices to maintain, monitor, and secure applications in a dynamic environment.
Job Requirements:
- Due to the nature of this role and the sensitivity of the work, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a WebLogic Administrator, managing complex WebLogic environments.
- Expertise in designing, developing, tuning, and administering middleware environments for Decennial Program areas.
- Proven experience in providing comprehensive management and administration services for middleware products, including Apache, Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic, Oracle Identity Management, Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and others such as BI Publisher, OBIEE, Oracle Apex, and Oracle Mapviewer.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver essential services for access, application, authentication, and authorization, as well as application troubleshooting, tuning, and reporting and business intelligence tool support.
- Strong experience in installing and configuring WebLogic domains, monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, applying patches, and liaising with vendors.
- In-depth knowledge of conducting in-depth analysis of thread dumps, heap dumps, and LDAP and security realms.
- Proven ability to develop WLST automation scripts, utilize tools like WebLogic.Admin and WebLogic.Deployer, and integrate with HTTP servers.
- Expertise in migrating applications, developing, implementing, and enforcing secure baseline configurations and best practices.
- Proven experience in maintaining comprehensive support documentation, ensuring high availability, and conducting continuous monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
- In-depth understanding of middleware technologies, database design and integrity, data and database protection and security, networking, programming, and SQL.
- Strong knowledge of middleware technology maintenance, administration techniques, and the underlying operating system.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of NIST security requirements and compliance.
- Strong hands-on experience in the following components: AWS Gov Cloud, EC2 Instances, Autoscaling, Ansible, Linux 6/7, WebLogic server 11g,12c, Tomcat 6.x/7.x/8. x.9.x, Apache 2.2, Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) 11g/12c, jdk 1.7,1.8, OAM/OID 12c, OBIEE/BI publisher, Gitlab, Katalon Studio, Shell & python scripting, TOAD, Splunk, App Dynamics, Remedy, SharePoint, Vizio, Reflections
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Oracle WebLogic in a clustered environment, Oracle HTTP Server, Oracle OID, Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Mapviewer, Oracle APEX, Oracle BI publisher, Oracle OBIEE, Oracle Primavera, Tomcat, Jenkins, and GitLab.
- Familiarity with third-party software such as Cronacle, Adobe Live Cycle, 1Spatial 1Integrate.
- Experience working with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, scripting (shell scripts, YAML, etc.), and automating jobs.
- Proficiency with AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker architecture and associated tools.
- Demonstrated ability to build processes for deploying to a Kubernetes-based environment, ideally using Gitlab and Helm.
- Relevant certifications, such as Oracle WebLogic Server Certification, are a plus.
