Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes (design, deployment, scaling, operators, networking, and security).
  • Strong hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Cloudformation, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with GitOps principles and tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Strong background in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OpenTelemetry).
  • Solid programming/scripting skills (Python, Go, or Bash).
  • Strong understanding of security best practices in cloud and containerized environments.
Responsibilities
  • Platform Architecture & Design: Lead the design and evolution of our Kubernetes-based platform and cloud infrastructure to support diverse workloads.
  • Kubernetes & Cloud Operations: Build, operate, and optimize Kubernetes clusters and supporting services across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Automation & GitOps Tooling: Drive adoption of GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux) for declarative infrastructure and application delivery, enabling self-service and consistency.
  • Scalability & Reliability: Implement best practices for monitoring, observability, autoscaling, and fault tolerance in distributed systems.
  • Security & Compliance: Partner with security teams to enforce least privilege, compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks), and secrets management across the platform.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to platform engineers; set standards for infrastructure-as-code, GitOps practices, and operational excellence.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with application engineering, data, and ML teams to ensure the platform meets their needs while maintaining consistency and reliability.
Desired Qualifications
  • Hands-on Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, or Consul).
  • Hands-on experience with feature flagging platforms (LaunchDarkly, OpenFeature, Unleash, or similar) to support progressive delivery.
  • Familiarity with databases, event streaming, and ML/AI infrastructure.
  • Prior experience leading platform strategy or driving adoption of internal developer platforms.
