The Team:
Cambridge Epigenetix (CEGX) has developed an exciting technology that combines the power of NGS with the ability to detect and analyse markers for epigenetics at the single nucleotide level. We’re moving to the next stage of our evolution by commercialising our first breakthrough product while developing key applications and markets. Our Commercial function is rapidly expanding to allow us to effectively engage with our early adopters and make their voice a key part of the product development process prior to product launch.
The Role:
As part of CEGX’s growth strategy, we’re looking for an experienced Marketing Programs and/or Marketing Communications Manager, from the life sciences industry. As part of the marketing organisation, you will partner with Product Management, Regional Marketing and Digital Marketing to deliver our many and varied marketing programs, as we move towards commercialisation. This is a hands on, operational role with the potential for career progression as the company expands. Strategy:
Owning the process for planning & prioritising the various marketing groups around key strategies, initiatives & activities and effectively communicating progress to the rest of the organisation. This will involve creating a schedule for success that can be communicated and delivered upon by the commercial organisation.
Implementation:
Managing the marketing planning process, content planning, lead generation campaigns, nurture campaigns and Go-To-Market strategies. Co-ordinating contractors, 3rd party providers & vendors and owning the departmental budget. Working alongside key stakeholders to define, measure and report KPIs, providing the framework for iterative design.
Voice of the customer:
Provide & manage the structure for collecting sales & customer feedback and assigning to relevant partners within the team for follow up. Ensure a customer-centric organisation to provide the optimal customer experience throughout their journey.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate expertise in marketing program management and/or marketing communication from within the biotechnology industry sector. They should be proactive, highly organised, and target oriented. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to get in at the ground level of CEGX’s growth, and thrives on challenge and autonomy.
Qualifications/Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a biotech marketing role, focussed on marketing program management and/or marketing communications.
- Proven experience within the commercial omics sector is desirable, preferably within an NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) focussed function
- Experience influencing remote teams and driving service excellence in a commercial function would be advantageous
