Requirements
  • Expertise with analysis and test of mechanical and electrical components
  • Working knowledge of non-linear simulation tools such as ANSYS Mechanical or COMSOL

Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed non-linear finite element modeling of mechanical and electrical hardware
  • Analyze the thermal and dynamic performance of integrated mechanical and electrical systems
  • Define and support test efforts for analysis validation
  • Provide key technical inputs to inform mechanical and electrical hardware design decisions
  • Develop standard practices and guidelines for performing FEA and common hand calculations
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers
  • Summarize key findings in written documents and oral presentations
