Requirements
  • Expertise with analysis and test of mechanical and electrical components.
  • Working knowledge of non-linear simulation tools such as ANSYS Mechanical or COMSOL.
  • Creative problem solving and strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and in a matrix organization.
  • Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, or related discipline with an emphasis on heat transfer.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in an analysis-based role.
Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed non-linear finite element modeling of mechanical and electrical hardware.
  • Analyze the thermal and dynamic performance of integrated mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Define and support test efforts for analysis validation.
  • Provide key technical inputs to inform mechanical and electrical hardware design decisions.
  • Develop standard practices and guidelines for performing FEA and common hand calculations.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers.
  • Summarize key findings in written documents and oral presentations.
