KSM climbs to No. 40 on INSIDE Public Accounting's 2026 Top 500 Firms list. August 5, 2026 Summary: KSM climbed to No. 40 on INSIDE Public Accounting's 2026 Top 500 Firms list, reflecting the employee-owned accounting and advisory firm's continued growth, strategic expansion, and commitment to serving clients nationwide. INDIANAPOLIS - KSM (Katz, Sapper & Miller), a leading employee-owned accounting and advisory firm, has been ranked No. 40 on INSIDE Public Accounting's (IPA) 2026 Top 500 Firms list, moving up seven spots from No. 47 in 2025. The annual IPA Top 500 ranks the nation's largest CPA firms based on net revenue and is widely regarded as one of the accounting profession's leading benchmarks for firm growth, size, and market position. KSM's continued rise in IPA's rankings reflects another year of strategic growth and investment. In 2025, Chicagoland firm MichaelSilver joined KSM, expanding the firm's presence and capabilities in the Chicago market. Earlier this year, KSM also launched KSM Corporate Finance, its investment banking service line, through the addition of Charter Capital Partners' investment banking team, further strengthening the firm's ability to serve clients throughout every stage of the business lifecycle. "Our continued growth is the result of an intentional strategy and, most importantly, the incredible people who bring it to life every day," said Tim Cook, KSM CEO and president. "We're committed to building a firm that delivers exceptional value to our clients while creating meaningful opportunities for our employees to grow their careers. Advancing in the IPA rankings reflects that commitment and the momentum we've built together." Over the past several years, KSM has continued to expand its geographic footprint, deepen its advisory capabilities, and invest in talent and technology to meet the evolving needs of clients across industries. As an employee-owned firm, KSM's growth is driven by a long-term commitment to helping clients, communities, and employees succeed.
KSM opens new headquarters, investing in its people and future. July 28, 2026 Summary: KSM has opened a new 98,535-square-foot corporate headquarters on the northside of Indianapolis, designed to foster collaboration, flexibility, employee well-being, and future growth while reinforcing the firm's long-term commitment to employee ownership, client service, and community. INDIANAPOLIS - KSM (Katz, Sapper & Miller), a leading employee-owned accounting and advisory firm, has officially opened its new corporate headquarters in the Carmel Gateway office park, creating a workplace designed to support collaboration, flexibility, and continued growth. The firm marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, July 16, with more than 200 employees, former KSM leaders, civic officials, and project partners in attendance. Located on the Indianapolis/Carmel border at 600 E. 96th St., the new headquarters was intentionally designed to support the way KSM works today - bringing people together to collaborate, learn, innovate, and build meaningful relationships, while providing an exceptional experience for employees, clients, and visitors alike. Spanning 98,535 square feet, the headquarters also positions the firm for continued growth while reinforcing its long-term commitment to remaining an independent, employee-owned firm. "We didn't set out simply to build a beautiful office," said Tim Cook, KSM CEO and president. "From the beginning, our vision was to create a workspace that reflects who we are as a firm and supports where we're headed - a space where our people can do their best work, our clients feel welcome, and meaningful connections happen every day. This headquarters is an investment in our future and in the people who make KSM what it is." This headquarters is an investment in its future and in the people who make KSM what it is. The headquarters was designed around flexibility, wellness, and connection, offering a variety of work environments that support different work styles. Signature spaces include a two-story interior courtyard filled with natural light and greenery, flexible collaboration spaces, focus rooms, wellness rooms, an employee café, a recreation area, and a large community room designed to support employee gatherings, client events, training, and community use. The space was designed by DELV Design and constructed by Burnside Builders. While the headquarters itself represents years of thoughtful planning, KSM leaders emphasized that its greatest value lies in what happens inside it. "Our culture has always been our greatest strength," said Erin Wagoner, KSM chief people officer. "This headquarters isn't about the walls - it's about the people inside them. Already, we've seen teammates reconnect, new relationships form, and spontaneous conversations spark ideas and collaboration. That's exactly what we hoped this space would create, and we're excited to see how it continues to bring our people together." Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam joined KSM leaders for the celebration, recognizing the firm's continued investment in the region and its role in attracting talent and strengthening the local business community. "KSM's investment reflects exactly the kind of forward-thinking leadership that helps our community thrive," Finkam said. "This headquarters demonstrates a commitment to people, innovation, and the long-term success of central Indiana, and we're proud KSM continues to call this community home." KSM has served clients from central Indiana for more than 80 years and has grown into one of the nation's largest independent advisory, tax, and audit firms. The new headquarters reflects the firm's continued evolution while remaining grounded in the values that have defined KSM for decades: exceptional client service, employee ownership, collaboration, and community.
