Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of administrative or directly related experience is required.
  • Ability to work flexibly is required.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Good organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work with general office equipment is required.
  • Good computer knowledge is required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and/or skill in accountability, change effectiveness, collaboration and teamwork, communication, Hawaiian cultural commitment, and innovation is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide general administrative support to different departments within the division or group.
  • Receive and screen incoming messages and correspondence, provide information, respond to inquiries, disseminate information internally, and handle documentation including typing routine correspondence, transmitting, faxing, and copying as needed.
  • Establish and maintain confidential and general office files, which may include personnel, payroll, student records, and other department files.
  • Communicate with and provide information to visitors and outside sources.
  • Assist with preparation and maintenance of the department budget, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and reimbursement claims.
  • Coordinate and arrange staff events.
  • Assist in preparing reports needed by the department.
  • Provide backup to other administrative staff and cross-train.
