Requirements
  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA), certified management accountant (CMA) or chartered global management accountant (CGMA)
  • 10+ years proven accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
  • Strong understanding of economic and banking processes, and detailed financial data analysis
Responsibilities
  • Performing all accounting and financial operations including general ledger, revenue, inventory management, cost of goods sold, AP/AR, research and development accounting, stock options compensation, payroll, benefits, and cash flow management
  • Preparing accurate and timely information for management and investors
  • Reporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end GAAP financial reports and internal reporting
  • Coordinating filings, tax returns, governmental filings, registrations, business and tax licenses, etc.
  • Reconciling and accounting for stock option plans, loan agreements, royalty buyouts, and other legal contracts
  • Observing and analyzing financial data to make pricing decisions, formulate strategies, lower costs, increase profits, win new customers, and grow the business
  • Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting databases
  • Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
  • Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting and finance staff
  • Handling other duties that arise during the normal course of business
