Field Service Technician – Heavy Equipment

Sanco Equipment is looking for an experienced Mobile Heavy Equipment Technician to help establish and grow our XCMG service presence in the Twin Cities.

This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a growing heavy equipment territory. You'll work directly with customers in the field while helping build Sanco Equipment's reputation for heavy equipment service throughout the Twin Cities.

You'll be provided with a late-model service truck that you take home every night. Sanco covers the fuel, maintenance, and operating costs.

As an XCMG dealer, you'll work primarily on heavy construction equipment, including excavators and wheel loaders, with access to manufacturer training, diagnostic tools, technical support, and an established Parts and Service team.

Heavy Equipment Experience Transfers

If you currently work on CAT, John Deere, Komatsu, Volvo, Case, Hitachi, Liebherr, Develon, or another heavy equipment line, we want to talk with you.

We hire technicians for their technical ability—not the name on the machine.

If you know diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, emissions systems, and equipment diagnostics, we'll provide the XCMG-specific training and support.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment at customer locations and jobsites
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, drivetrains, and emissions systems
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, warranty repairs, and field campaigns
• Utilize manufacturer diagnostic software and specialized service tools
• Develop relationships with contractors, equipment owners, and fleet customers
• Identify service and maintenance opportunities within the territory
• Help grow Sanco Equipment's heavy equipment service presence in the Twin Cities

Build Your Territory

This isn't an established route we're simply looking for someone to maintain. You'll help build it.

We're looking for an experienced field technician who understands that great service creates long-term customers. You'll have the opportunity to develop relationships throughout the Twin Cities and become a trusted service resource for customers in your territory.

We're not looking to turn a technician into a salesperson. We're looking for someone who knows heavy equipment, understands customers, and wants the independence to help build something.

Your Service Truck

• Late-model, heavy equipment service truck

What We're Looking For

• Heavy construction equipment repair experience
• Strong diesel, hydraulic, and electrical diagnostic skills
• Experience diagnosing modern electronic and emissions systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and work independently in the field
• Experience with manufacturer diagnostic software and service tools
• Strong customer communication skills
• Familiarity with the Twin Cities construction and heavy equipment market is a plus
• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

XCMG experience is not required. Bring your heavy equipment experience—we'll teach you our product.
