Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or related field or relevant experience
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years directly related experience in data product management
  • Working knowledge of the following preferred:
  • Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Common data science models and approaches to problem-solving
  • Large scale enterprise applications using big data
  • Basic programming, machine learning, and DB's technologies (SQL, Python, Cassandra, MongoDB, Redis, Couchbase, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Management or Strategy consulting background
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive collaboration and cooperation across business units
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate insights to leadership and relevant stakeholders
  • Intellectual curiosity with strong creative and imaginative prowess to generate ideas to solve business problems
  • Ability to distill complex data into concise and easily understood concepts and recommendations
  • Strong understanding of project management techniques with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks and projects simultaneously
Responsibilities
  • Enable the vision, tenets, principles, and high-level priorities for data product workstreams by integrating people, data, processes, and business systems to drive the business case and justification to start new data product development or enhance existing data products
  • Establish strong relationships in IT, analytics, and business teams across the organization while combining the voice and needs of the users and requirements to create both high-level roadmaps and detailed delivery plans
  • Develop detailed data product specifications with user personas, acceptance criteria, and success measures that are specific to data products to address core business questions and operational needs
  • Work on the right things to produce results and ensure a successful data product through sprint planning and user stories in conjunction with IT, Data Strategy & Governance, and Data Visualization teams
  • Launch new data products to the defined user community, drive adoption of new features and capabilities across the organization, and monitor data product analytics to inform data product roadmap
  • Lead product rationalization process to ensure products are delivering against evolving use cases and acceptance criteria
  • Measure product impact on a quarterly basis from an adoption and use rate perspective
  • Drive a shift in culture to view data as an enterprise asset and instill confidence in sanctioned numbers to enable data-driven decisions
