Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a job related field of study.
  • Three (3) years of work related experience, including six (6) months of supervisory experience.
Responsibilities
  • Performs human resources responsibilities for the department including posting openings, scheduling interviews, document collection, creation/ maintenance, security of personnel files.
  • Coordinates FMLA requests, new employee orientation, time and attendance.
  • Supervises support staff: hires/trains clerical support staff for three locations, handles employee issues/ complaints.
  • Trains/oversees unpaid interns.
  • Participates in budget preparation and monitoring/oversight and makes recommendations.
  • Orders and maintains office supplies.
  • Assists with secretarial workload in absence of department secretary.
  • Provides support to director and administrative staff by preparing statistical and reports, proposals and other documents.
  • Functions as a liaison between director and other departments.
  • Maintains calendar, makes travel arrangements, maintains documentation, and requests for reimbursement.
  • Communicates with all levels of management on information relating to projects or any other requests.
  • Ensures section chiefs are informed of all issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
