Requirements
  • Have working knowledge of Employee Procedure Manual and Residential Policy Manual
  • Be able to perform head counts at least three times per shift
  • Maintain security of lodge by monitoring the comings and goings of visitors, ensuring VISITOR badges are worn and others entering area have signed in and have appropriate identification or badge
  • Circulate throughout the building and grounds every 45 minutes to ensure rules are followed and security maintained
  • Record pertinent events or information in the logbook during the shift
  • Keep all assigned statistics up to date
  • Be responsible for cleanliness of the facility as instructed by the Director of Guest Services
  • Check on diners at each meal and monitor the dining room during mealtimes and make necessary announcements
  • Maintain hallways clear of loitering residents
  • Cover for co-workers during absences
  • Refer questions regarding admission to the Director of Guest Services
  • Greet all individuals entering the facility in a kind, friendly manner
  • Give a tour of the building upon checking in a client
  • Read logbook upon going on duty
  • Provide other services as required for the efficient functioning of The Salvation Army
