Summary: 
An Automated Test Embedded Software Project / Sr Project Engineer is an integral part of our Electronics & Electrical Systems product development organization. This position supports our Product Execution team based in Towson, MD.  This position involves working closely with embedded software and embedded electrical teams to design automated tests for product software. The ideal candidate will be a self-starting individual with experience with automated test systems.

Job Specifications:

• Validate embedded software and electronic designs through automated test software, test scripts and simulation.
• Develop test frameworks with a focus on automation and extensibility.
• Design and develop test plans, software, and scripts to validate embedded software for BLDC motor controls and battery powered domains.
• Organize test sets and test plans using state of the art test management tools.
• Develop infrastructure execute automated tests nightly with organized and managed results.
• Maintain appropriate documentation for work performed.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage project work and documentation.
• Develop test cases based on requirements and performance data.
• Develop and maintain a schedule to track progress in fulfilling an objective within a deadline.
• Effectively summarize information about an objective and communicate it to others.
• Embrace cross functional teamwork.

Employee Specifications:

• BSCS, BSCE or equivalent (4 years) from accredited computer science or engineering college
• 8+ years of software development work experience with 2+ years of automated test.
• Familiarity with Robot Framework or similar
• Familiarity with Xray or similar test management suite.
• Understanding of common microcontroller peripherals such as: timers, GPIO, watchdog, ADC, UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, DMA

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $ 85,500.00 - 154,000.00 USD Annual USD Annual per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
