Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as an APP working with pediatric populations, NEW GRADS CONSIDERED
  • Approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in North Carolina
  • Must have or be eligible for a DEA license
  • Master's Degree or Doctor of Nursing Practice required (NP Applicants)
  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required (PA Applicants)
Responsibilities
  • Performs initial and periodic medical history, physical examinations, and recurring assessments as needed
  • Records findings of examinations, assessments, and plans of care
  • Writes appropriate prescriptions, orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations, and determines treatment plan for patients
  • Documents all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a medically appropriate manner in the patient's medical record
  • Attends, participates and contributes to group/practice meetings and development of policies and procedures when requested
  • This is a hybrid position. APP will work in outpatient center in Charlotte. APP will also rotate through inpatient general neurology service
  • M-F, 8-5, no call
  • Primary office site in Charlotte, NC
