- Ensure examination rooms are appropriately stocked.
- Clean and prepare rooms for procedures.
- Assist with room and tray setup for patient procedures.
- Assist registered nurses and physician assistants in preparing medications and filling syringes as permitted by state law.
- Provide patients with pre- and post-procedure instructions and prescriptions, ensuring compliance and understanding.
- Coordinate day-to-day clinic traffic and scheduling to maintain patient flow.
- Provide customer service and treat team members and patients with compassion and respect.
- Maintain autoclave spore compliance records.
- Assist with medical supply inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and organizing medical supplies.
- Scan medical supplies in and out and maintain accurate, current information in medical management software.
- Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day issues.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards, procedures, policies, and professional standards in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Work with managed care and Medicare populations.
- Assist in training new staff on policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties delegated by the team lead, registered nurse, physician, or practice manager.
- Participate in cross-training initiatives to gain proficiency in various clinic functions.
- Provide coverage for other clinics as needed.
- Collaborate with team members across clinics to maintain a cohesive work environment.
- Pursue continuous learning and skill development to enhance clinic efficiency.
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
