Requirements
- 10+ years of Warranty or Maintenance experience in an operating facility (Instrument, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines) or Operations/Commissioning experience of responsibility in a similar scale LNG facility
- Experience with the implementation and end to end execution of a Warranty Program
- Ability to understand technical drawings, plant operations and maintenance processes and activities, plant equipment failure and troubleshooting mechanisms, across the facility and disciplines
- Excellent organization and planning skills, with ability to gather and summarize technical data, root cause analysis reports, etc. to identify path forward and utilize in claims
- Experience with complex claims and dispute resolution procedures required in the Oil & Gas sector
- Knowledge of construction contract agreements and effective warranty claim processes required
- Knowledge of various methodologies for claims pricing and preparation
- Ability to identify contract specifications that allot risk and provide appropriate mitigation measures
- Ability to effectively communicate with external stakeholders such as vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders such as operations, engineering, maintenance teams
- Project Management Tools including Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint, SAP and CMMS
Responsibilities
- Review warranty claim request to ensure criteria is met
- Review technical justification for discrepancies
- Request and review as found condition and historical documentation
- Initiate, track, follow up, verify, and close warranty as necessary
- Applies knowledge of plant operations and maintenance to effectively conduct warranty related matters
- Interprets contract language to understand the Contractor's and Vendor's responsibilities related to equipment
- Guides the Operations team in properly managing equipment repairs and maintenance in accordance with Contract clauses, limiting Company's exposure to additional costs
- Reviews and analyzes contract records to advice technical and Commercial SMEs to determine legitimacy of claims
- Coordinates clarifications and closure with contractors and OEMs on warranty related queries
- Supports integration of Company systems to track, monitor and control costs of warranty claims
- Performs the warranty claims reporting. Creates and maintains database of all claims
- Prepares dashboard reports and recommendations for progressing warranty claims along with KPIs
- Ensures accurate utilization of approved systems for document control and updates of warranty claims and repairs
- Coordinates and liaises with facilities, projects, and HQ for identifying, monitoring, and resolving warranty claims and associated conflict resolution and mediation
- Interfaces with legal counsels as appropriate
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives
- Performs additional assignments as required, for Operations Services support
